With over 1,000 high schools and middle schools in California alone, we believe God has called us to an amazing mission in reaching these students for Christ.
California is the most populous state in America, yet we have faith in the Lord's promise of using ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary tasks and that He will be faithful to walk beside us every step of the way.
One of our continued prayers as a ministry is that God would send more workers for the harvest and each year He answers that prayer by sending more students, staff, and now interns to our teams! The California Team runs because a handful of leaders tirelessly run after students in need of Christ.
This year, NSP has teams of staff and student leaders in three areas of California: Los Angeles and Orange Counties (Biola), San Gabriel Valley, and Kern County. In total, there are 23 university student leaders, interns, and staff working to further the mission in CA.
We are pursuing seeing a nation where every student has been given a chance to hear the gospel on their campus. With that, we are hoping to expand to several areas across California in the coming years. Pray with us for the potential opportunities God has put before us below:
- San Jose, CA: This past year (2014-2015) we received a phone call that 5 high schools in San Jose wanted to reach their campuses for Christ. We jumped on the opportunity to come alongside them and saw God making a huge impact on these campuses as over 1,000 students had the chance to hear gospel during through rallies and witnessing. We would love to continue to service these schools if God continues to open that door!
- Riverside & Orange Counties, CA: As we continue to expand in the Los Angeles area and Southern California, God has opened the doors for us to work in the Riverside and Orange County areas! However, there is still much to do and many schools to reach. We would love to connect with more and more churches and Christian students in the area that have a heart to reach their public school campuses!
Have any connections in these areas to churches, schools, or people? Let us know!
