our staff team

Our full-time staff team has grown to 21 people serving in California, Illinois, and beyond. Each staff member is supported financially and lifted up in prayer by a team of believers. Check out our staff and join a team by clicking on any of the names or photos below!

  • Heather Barnes


    Heather was the first high schooler in Chicago coached by NSP through our Distance Mentoring program. As she saw God work at Palatine High, she began praying that God would bring NSP to Illinois for the long-term. In faith, she started a new NSP Chapter at Moody Bible Insitute in 2013, then took a year off from college to work full-time in this mission in 2014. Now things have come full circle, and Heather is overseeing the very ministry that she prayed the Lord would bring to Illinois!

    Lisa has always had a heart for the lost and served as the overseer for short-term mission trips while a student at Biola University. After graduating, Lisa joined CSP staff in 2013 to head up the distance department, helping college students lead trips back to their hometowns to coach high schools in outreach. She now serves the CA team as the Associate State Director.

    Expansion Director

    After praying for God to stretch her faith, Hannah followed His lead to join CSP staff in 2015. She is passionate about reaching the lost and empowering Christians to live out their part of the Great Commission. After one year of working with us, she is now overseeing expansion into the Inland Empire and beyond!  

  • Jonathan Cox

    Southwest suburbs chapter director

    Passionate about youth ministry, Jon assisted in launching a campus movement from 2009-2014 reaching 100 high schools throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois. After graduating from Moody Bible Institute with a Bachelor's in Biblical Studies in 2014, Jon has joined staff as the Southwest Suburbs Chapter Director to reach this generation with the gospel. 

  • Jaston Epp

    Biola Chapter Director

    After 4 years working with the Biola Chapter as a student, Jaston is coming on full-time staff to lead the team from Biola in evangelism and discipleship with students in north Orange county and south LA county. 

  • ben flemming

    director, central operations

    Ben started as a campus mentor in 2004 while at Biola and came on staff in 2008. Ben gets excited when he sees students stepping out to share their faith in Jesus with their peers on campus.

  • jason friese

    San gabriel valley Chapter Director

    Jason first joined CSP as a campus mentor in 2005. After spending a few years working and volunteering in his church, he rejoined the team in 2013 to work in the training department to help students be best equipped to share the gospel. He is now serving as the San Gabriel Valley Chapter Director.

  • kenny hood

    Finance Manager

    Kenny was a supporter for another staff member for three years before coming on staff in 2015. He has long supported and championed the vision of NSP and is excited to now be serving as NSP's Finance Manager, resourcing our leaders to equip students to reach their peers with the love of Christ.

  • mark hopson


    Mark joined the team as a Biola student volunteer in 2003, led the Biola team in 2004 and came on staff in 2006. After working as CSP's LA Regional Director for a several years, Mark and his family moved to Chicago in 2013 to start a new ministry as the Illinois School Project Director. 

    As of January 2017, Mark is serving as the President of the National School Project. Click here to learn more.

    Rich approached CSP in 2013 to explore mobilizing his local church to reach the local high school with the gospel and ended up joining staff and serving as the San Gabriel Valley Chapter Director for the next three years. He now leads as the California School Project Director.

  • AMELIA keithley


    Amelia began volunteering with CSP in 2012 and served as a CSP intern in 2014-2015 with Administration and Events. She joined staff in 2016 and now offers her talents in the front office for CSP and in Central Operations for NSP.

  • Rachel kuehl

    director of media & Communications

    Rachel is a 2015 graduate of Wheaton College where she studied English and took advanced classes in filmmaking. Her heart is to see the gospel spread throughout the world, especially in the hearts of young people. She loves to see Christians using their unique gifts "for Christ and his Kingdom." For Rachel, being able to use media to serve God at NSP is a dream job, and a good dream, not the kind where the bookshelf eats your dog.

  • After serving with CSP as a college student for three years, Devin is now joining the team as a full-time staff member after graduating from Biola University with a degree in Biblical Studies this spring. His passion is to see the growth of strategic gospel-proclamation in different areas, and he sees CSP's value with that as being too important to not be a part of.

  • As a former student leader, Jon brings his passion and enthusiasm for campus ministry to the team.

    kern county area director

    Ollie's passion is to help students have a saving, satisfying, and lasting relationship with God. Ollie joined CSP as a campus mentor in 2010. After serving in a variety of roles and leading four CSP mission trips to his hometown area of Bakersfield, Ollie joined full-time staff in 2014 as the Kern County Director.

  • Phoebe Ng

    Marketing Director

    Phoebe brings a love for the lost and experience in media development to the team. Her job of collecting and sharing stories from high school campuses encourages the body of Christ and gives glory to God.

    director of development

    Since joining as a volunteer while a Biola student in 2004, Kellee has been a Logistics Director, Cluster Leader, HomeTown Director, (short term missions) and Training Director, overseeing the development of our high school training curriculum - the Outreach Guide. Kellee most recently served as the first California School Project Director ('13-'16) and now serves as the Director of Development.

    Brian joined CSP after graduating from Biola in 2014, where he was involved with the Student Missionary Union. He's excited to use his skills to expand the spread of the gospel locally by organizing training and fundraising events. 

  • michael towson

    greater los angeles area director

    Michael began volunteering with CSP while he was a Biola freshman in 2006 and came on full-time staff in 2010. He currently oversees the ministry in the L.A. area. His vision is to build a team of 600 university students to coach and mentor students at all 300 high schools in the Greater Los Angeles Area.

    After 44 years with Campus Crusade for Christ serving internationally for 25 years in Guam, Canada, and Mongolia, Warren founded NSP in 2002 to address the great need to reach America for Christ.
