Seattle Exploration

Breaking ground on a new project to shine the

light of Christ in the high schools of Seattle

Vision for Seattle Schools

We want to see a student-led, church-supported

campus-awakening to the love of Christ at every public high school.

VAST MISSION FIELD:

The Seattle area is home to 125 high schools and 128,000 students.

The state of Washington is home to 280 high schools & 300,000 high school students.

EXPLORING MINISTRY IN SEATTLE:

We are exploring launching a National School Project hub in Seattle. This exploration phase will go from October 2015-May 2016. During this phase, we will evaluate if the Lord is in this project for Seattle. This will be determined by the degree to which churches, students & community leaders in Seattle come together to train students to bring the message of Jesus to the public schools of Seattle.

If the Lord is clearly in this, NSP will help launch a long-term ministry in Washington to reach the

280 Washington high schools and 300,000 students with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Meet the director

Ryan Rayburn is directing the Seattle Exploration for  National School Project. On May 18, 2008 Ryan Graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a B.A. in Evangelism and Discipleship. The next day he was on a plane to the Czech Republic, serving with Josiah Venture, to reach the 99% of students who hadn't yet heard the gospel. He returned as a Cross-Country Coach and Dean Assistant at Metea Valley High School just outside Chicago, where he also served as the Evangelism and Sports Ministry Coordinator at Grace Church of Dupage until 2014.

He met his beautiful wife Natalie, during a mission trip to Albania, and the two have come back with a passion to reach high school students with the love of Christ in Seattle. He loves the church, Spartan Racing, and feels no shame when he shares the gospel of Christ or wears the same jeans twice.
