The public school students transforming their campuses with the Good News of Jesus Christ are the hands and feet of this mission, but behind every student, Campus Mentor, and Student Leader is a faithful Staff member. The planning, training, and dedication NSP’s full-time staff team gives its students is the primary element that creates the opportunities we see for Gospel outreach.
Each Staff member raises their salary through personal support raising and we have seen tremendous provision by the Lord over the years for our Staff. This Christmas, we wanted to give you an opportunity to either join the support team of a Staff member as a monthly supporter, or send a Christmas special gift to them.
Kelly Vine, a NSP student leader, speaks on the influence of the NSP staff in her life: “My first year of NSP was met with confusion but pure excitement; what had I signed up for? What is this thing that everyone is excited about? Why am I here? I didn't know a single answer to those questions, until Fall Training Weekend. Sure, I knew the basic idea, but I didn't understand who wanted to commit their time to a ministry, and why I should too. It wasn't until I met members of the NSP staff that I realized this ministry is so much more than 5 hours a week and a training guide. I connected with the staff, specifically Kellee Popp, that weekend and I was truly blessed by learning about their hearts not only for the ministry, but for the Lord. Kellee and I prayed for my hometown in Maine, and she made me feel so heard and cared for. I have never once felt marginalized or uncared for by the NSP staff, and each of them is such a testament to the kinds of laborers needed for the harvest. With such a huge vision and NSP being a business, you would expect impersonal emails or interactions, but the NSP staff is focused on building relationships and abiding in community. That community is truly special and I am so blessed to be a part of it.”
