Coaching Students as a Decision Point Lead Coach

I’m excited to serve as a Lead Coach in Los Angeles with Decision Point this year! Decision Point coaches Christian students at public middle and high schools to reach their campus for Christ. As a Lead Coach, my mission is to equip Christian students and send them as missionaries to share the gospel on the 3-4 campuses I will oversee this year.

Why I Feel Called to This Role

Hi! I am Jailyn Joy, but I go by Jay. I am beyond blessed and honored to have the opportunity to serve with Decision Point. I truly believe in partnership in ministry because as young people, they need mentors who will encourage, guide, and pray with them as they act according to what God has called them to do. Sharing the gospel is not a task for just the few, but it is a commandment for all despite how young a person may be. Just like it is stated in Esther, we were born for such as this, and in 1 Peter 2 that this is a chosen generation by God to bring people back to Him. To me, it is super important for students to know that they are created for more than they could even imagine. However, students are constantly in an atmosphere that is full of darkness and hopelessness, yet Christian students have an opportunity to bring life to these dead places. Being a part of the Decision Point team, I have the opportunity to equip and help develop students’ relationship with God which allows them to make a difference and impact on their school campus.
