Coaching Students as a Decision Point Lead Coach

I’m excited to serve as a Lead Coach in Chicago with Decision Point this year! Decision Point  coaches Christian students at public middle and high schools to reach their campus for Christ. As a Lead Coach, my mission is to equip Christian students and send them as missionaries to share the gospel on the campuses I will oversee this year.

Why I Feel Called to This Role

Hello there! My name is Ryan Walter, and I’m looking forward to serving with Decision Point as a Lead Coach this upcoming school year. Having grown up in the public school system, I’ve encountered how difficult being a Christian in this context is. I’ve seen firsthand the grave need for the gospel that public schools have. When I was in school I didn’t ever feel equipped enough to share the gospel. Honestly, I didn't even know that sharing the gospel at my school was an option! Upon arriving at Wheaton College, and discovering Decision Point, I felt God calling me to this ministry to help equip students who are on fire for the Lord to do just that- spread the gospel to their schools. This started last year as a volunteer coach for Decision Point, and this upcoming year, again, I’m excited to take the next step and serve as a Lead Coach, not only mentoring high school students, but also taking on some administrative and leadership roles on the team here!
