Isabella's Story
Isabella is a Senior at Taft High School, and currently is the club president. A few years ago, Isabella was searching and seeking for some source of life outside of what she knew. She was raised culturally Roman Catholic, but near the end of middle school, Isabella was ready to convert to Islam. Many of her friends practiced and were ready to declare the shahadah (islamic profession of faith). But Isabella also began to look into other religions. She was deep into philosophical perspectives and worldviews, and wound up with a New Age perspective, actively practicing Wicca.
As she stepped into this, she wanted to defend what she was doing with Scripture, so she began to make a list of all the things she was pursuing in Wicca to show how the practices did not contradict with what the Bible taught. Quickly though, she came across the gospel message for the first time. She then became involved in a Christian club at school and eventually began attending a local church.
Fast forward to this present year: after discipleship from the local church and Christian club at her school, Isabella recently got baptized, is now the club president, and is passionate about evangelism! Isabella has been set free from the bondage and confusion of other religions and is now able to walk in the freedom of a relationship with Christ. Please pray for Isabella’s bold witness and for other students to be set free just as she has been.
