Student Stories
God at Work in the Inland Empire!
“On Tuesday, October 17th, student leaders hosted a Set Free outreach at John F. Kennedy High School in the city of Norco. This was actually the second gospel outreach hosted by the students this fall! Students were able to bring in former professional skateboarder Brian Sumner to preach the gospel.
Brian preached from Mark 8:36, “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” At the age of 16, Brian began to skate professionally. He had everything from a worldly standpoint, but lost it all. However, God led Brian to call out to him, “God are you real?” And God revealed Himself and set Brian free through Christ. Brian now stands forgiven, free and restored with an eternal purpose he has to testify to the grace of God in Christ. Out of the 30 students who attended the gospel outreach, 7 students indicated decisions to follow Christ!
Please pray for these souls and more too! The student leaders are even more determined than ever to secure a larger space on campus, pass out more fliers to promote, and mobilize more Christian on campus to reach even more students at another outreach before this Christmas break! May the LORD bless their gospel proclamation efforts!”
